Shakuntala Laroia passed away Wednesday, April 5th, 2017 at the Windsor Regional Hospital – Ouellette Campus.
Born in 1934 in Burma, Shakuntala married Pyarelal Laroia with whom she had 9 children with, 5 daughters and 4 sons. She is survived by her 2 sons and 5 daughters, 20 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Although she will be greatly missed, all her struggles have now come to an end. She was blessed with 83 years, and although she could have had more, she left the world peacefully. We love you, may you rest in peace.
Visitation and funeral service for Shakuntala Devi Laroia,, will be held Friday, April 7th, 2017 at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor, 519-969-5841 where the family will greet friends from 11:00 a.m. with the pooja (prayer) service at 12:00 p.m followed by cremation at Heavenly Rest Cemetery (5005 Howard Ave.).
