SERVICE EXCELLENCE when you need it most.
Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Hospice on May 5, 2017 at 91 years of age. Beloved husband of Frances (nee Cross) for over 71 years. Proud father of five children: daughter Lynn and four sons, Terry (Sandy), Greg (Tracy), Doug (Jenny) and the late Bruce (1955-1964). He cherished his grandchildren Mindy (Ryan), Melissa (Joris) and Dr. Garrett (Hannah) and great grandfather to four great grandchildren. Lyle is survived by two sisters Muriel Latimer, Betty Kimball as well as sister-in-law Joan Mosey. He was predeceased by two brothers Francis and Tom. Lyle was a proud naval veteran of WWII and long term employee of R.P. Scherer for 46 years. He was a 33rd degree Mason and an active member of the Scottish Rite and Moramos Shrine Club. His passion was his family, spending winters in Florida, cruises, worldwide travelling and his gardens. He enjoyed golfing and his card club. Lyle was an excellent role model for his children and always had a positive attitude. He will be sorely missed by those that knew him. A special thank you to our neighbours, Rod and Marie and the staff of Hospice. A Masonic Service will be held Sunday at 7:30 p.m. under the Auspices of Thistle Lodge # 34 (Amherstburg).
