October 31, 1920 - May 6, 2017

It is with sadness we announce the passing of our father but thankful for all the years we had him in our lives. Known to everyone as “Pip” our Dad was born in Penetangushene. He moved to North Bay and at a young age the family moved to Windsor. Loving husband of Pamela Noble (2004) Father of Jacqueline (David Robichaud), Terrance (Joy), Jennifer (Robert Harris), Deborah (Keith Golden), Eric (Janet) and Robert (Toni). Son of Charles Timothy and Marie Anne Leroux, brother of Raymond, Arthur, Olive, Nelson and Ronald (predeceased) and surviving siblings Gerald Timothy , Elaine Marion and sister in-law Yvonne Timothy. Dad was a special Pip to Kimberly Damphouse, Christine Minardi, Erika Golden, Brent Golden, Keith Timothy, Dustin Timothy, Pamela Timothy, Kimberly Letourneau, Chad Timothy, Shannon Timothy, Lennie Timothy (predeceased) and Christopher Timothy. He will be missed by his 18 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Dad was employed by Ford Motor Company at the time he enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces in 1942. He was sent to England with a holding unit where he met our Mum. He was deployed to Europe with the 17th Field Regiment, 5th Armoured Division as a gunner/driver, and fought in the Italian Campaign. He arrived in France, went through Italy and Belgium, then to Holland where the war ended in 1945. Mum and Dad were married in England in 1945.

He returned to Ford Motor Company and has been retired for 36 years. Following his retirement he took a position as a school bus driver. In the early years he was Scout leader in LaSalle. Dad was a member of The LaSalle Friendship Club for many years and was an avid card player. At 83 he was the caretaker of the building, and still very active. In 2014 he was presented with The Ontario Volunteer Service Award for 30 + years.

A proud Veteran, he attended the cenotaph annually as well as many functions of the Windsor Veterans Historical Society. Dad was a member of Legion Branch 594. Two weeks ago he was presented with a Quilt of Valour from QOC Canada in honour of his service. We would like to thank Dr. L Morvay of the LaSalle Clinic, Dr. A Kadri of the Regional Kidney Care Clinic, and his caregivers Darlene & Joanne of Paramed Home Health Care, as well as the Veterans Association of Canada for their support and care the past few years. This allowed our Dad to remain in our family home he built 64 years ago. To Mary Moss, he always enjoyed your monthly visits, and to the staff on duty at Windsor Western Hospital, Ouellette Avenue Campus thank you for your care in his final hours. We would be remiss in not mentioning his neighbours Albert & Marie Torti, who have always been there for him over the years.

In lieu of flowers charitable donations can be made to The Heart & Stroke Foundation (Windsor) or the charity of your choice.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 7-9 pm.  Funeral service will be held on Thursday May 11, 2017 at 11:30 am at Families First 2130 Front Road LaSalle, 519-969-5841 under the auspices of Windsor Veteran’s Memorial Service Committee.  Family and friends will be received 1 hr prior to the service.  Cremation to follow.
