With deep regret and broken hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Ken Farano, on September 11, 2017 in the presence of his loving family. At the age of 68 years, Ken lost his sudden and short battle with cancer. Soulmate and loving husband of 46 years to Patricia (nee Holden). Devoted and loving father to Derek (Melissa) and Ryan (Liz). He will be fondly remembered by his four grandchildren Calista, Ethan, Adrian, Jaxen and granddog Marley. Son of the late Laurie and Elizabeth (Betty) Farano. Survived by brothers Laurie and Dennis (Bonnie). Son-in-law of the late Edward and Eva Holden. Brother-in-law of Ernie Holden (Arlene), Richard Holden (JoAnne), Linda Pawluk and Michael Holden (Kelly).
Ken will also be forever remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, dear friends and the Windsor Chiefs. Ken retired from the Windsor Star after 38 years of service. Ken enjoyed sports especially hockey and baseball where he coached local kids for over 10 years, spending time with his family and travelling the world.
