Passed away suddenly on February 3, 2018 in his 79th year. Predeceased by his parents Stanley & Victoria Szychta. Cherished brother of the late Sophie (2017) & her husband Mal Hodges, and Ruth Szychta. He was a special “brother” of the late Ed Zdziarski (2010) and Rose Mankiewicz. Loving uncle of Karen Webb, Kathy Bondy (Ed), Mal Hodges, and Linda Renaud (Bob). He is survived by his great-nieces and nephews: Christopher, Paul, Patrick, Alyssa and Nicole.
Joseph was a teacher in various high schools in the city of Windsor. He was an avid traveller and sports fan. He will be sadly missed by his many friends at Amica, especially Richard.

Visitation Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841 On Wednesday, family and friends are invited to meet at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 834 Raymo Rd., after 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. Interment Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
