SERVICE EXCELLENCE when you need it most.
Peacefully, after a short but fierce battle with leukemia, with his beloved “son” Josh at his side. Bill was the son of the late Bill Sr. (1994) and Betty (2018). He will be forever missed by Josh and Jackie Griffin. Papa Bill adored, and was loved by, his granddaughters Rebekah and Evelyn Griffin. Bill leaves behind many cousins and friends who were like family.
Bill worked for the Corporation of the City of Windsor for 31 years where he retired as a Zoning Plan Examiner in 2014 and was a proud member of CUPE Local 543.1. He touched the life of everyone he met and never failed to put a smile on someone's face or a hearty laugh in their belly. If anyone ever needed any help, whatsoever, Bill was there with a smile on his face, kind word in his mouth, and helping hand outstretched... Unless you wanted him to decorate your Christmas Tree like his!
We wish to thank the Doctors and Staff of 4 West at Windsor Regional Hospital , Met Campus, for the wonderful care they provided to Bill. Thanks also to 4 North and the ICU staff as well. If you wish to send flowers please send them in Bill's memory to someone important in your life.
If you wish to make a donation please consider Transition to Betterness and In Honour of the Ones We Love, Inc or to a charity close to your heart.
